REALISING THE SELECTION Training unit 5.1 Preparation of the selection: announcement, information and sensitization

How to choose the final recipients Selection of the partecipant: the transnational partnership gets to the heart of its relationship with the territory and the planning actions acqire an exacting visibility THE PHASE OF SELECTION: must be characterized by transparency throughout all its stages, as all the prospective recipients should be put in the condition to partecipate The approach to the sensitization and selection strategy depends a lot on the type of network and of mobility (IVT, PLM, VETPRO).

How to choose the final recipients IVT The information is given first of all by the people in charge (headmasters/mistresses and teachers) who explain to the various potentially interested classes the methods of access and of partecipation. PLM As regards the PLM networks, the fundamental element to be considered is the potential width of the area involved. VETPRO VETPRO networks have specific recipients since the moment of candidacy.

How to choose the final recipients The selection announcement In order to communicate in a trasparent way the information: about the specific project; about the partnership; about the amount of money involved; about the practical methods of selection; about criteria and lists of classification. It is advisable that it is the product of the interaction among the partners

How to choose the final recipients The announcement must include concise informations: on the project objectives; on the mobility. This means also: the number of mobility grants; the countries of destination; the amount of the grant.

How to choose the final recipients It is necessary to specify: the requisites for the admission; the selection criteria; the methods through which the criteria will be applied. The prospective recipients must also be given information on the ways of submission of the application (including the deadline), the mode of publication of the classification and the formal modes of acceptance.

How to choose the final recipients Other matters which complete the general framework (but they cannot easily be included in an announcement for lack of room or readability). It is advisable to include them in a separate paper (available on request as global regulations for the selection).

How to choose the final recipients This paper should include: possible further funding from intermediary organizations; times and modes for the allocation of funds; the modes for the collection and the presentation of the financial statement and the pertaining probatory documents; The conditions in case of advance renunciation or interruption before the end of the mobility.

How to choose the final recipients The National Agencies advise to help the prospective recipients by arranging a format for the application forms: providing an enclosed Eurpass CV format; arranging a mobility acceptance form in case of successful application.

How to choose the final recipients Content Element of the selection phase. The phase of sensitization: differences among the three different typologies of mobility. Characteristics of the selection announcement. Methods for the promotion of the announcement. Communicative interventions to support the selection.
