WHY? WHY? WHY? Compound Compound Words Words are everywhere! You You use compound words when you write! see them when you read!

ladybug ladybug This is a Compound Word! Put together 2 words to create a new word. lady + bug = ladybug

Helpful Hint If you can draw a picture for each word, then its a great compound word. += lady + bug = ladybug
