Scholarship Program for Technical Studies abroad Opportunities for economic and social development.

Important points Who are our beneficiaries? What have been the main achievements of our program? What does the future hold to us?

Have studied in the best technical academic institutions (colleges and technological universities) in Chile Have significant work experience Are 30 years old, in average Our beneficiaries

Studies in the following areas: Aquaculture, Business processes, Food, Information Technology, Mining, Mechanics, Renewable energy and Tourism. Our last contest awarded 263 scholarships, from which 128 scholars are already graduated. Agreements with institutions of excellence worldwide: Australia, Brasil, Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Mexico, New Zealand and Spain Main achievements

International academic institution call Institutions register themselves in an on line system Institutions drop their programs, filling files with detailed information on their programs (3 per institution). Training programs are evaluated by different commisions which grant grades to several criteria. Selected programs and their institutions will celebrate cooperation agreements with the Ministry of Education International academic training program offer, evaluation and agreements

What kind of training programs do we look for? Post graduate level programs One year programs. If not available, recognition of prior learning is a must, for our students to attend the program’s last year. Strong practical component. In specific fields: mining, food, mechanics, etc.

How do we work? Evaluate international training programs and sign agreements. Offer the training programs under agreement in national promotions. Applicants apply to the scholaship and 3 training programs (under agreement) listed on the form. Applications are evaluated. Sholarships are awarded. Selected students are presented to the international institutions for their acceptance (conditional to language level or unconditionally) Institutions accept (or not) our students and send an acceptance letter. Selected students become scholarship holders after singing a contract with the Ministry. Scholarship holders begin their language training in Chile (if required), others may travel and attend language training in destiny.
