Low Incidence PLD October 27, 2014

Good Morning Please enjoy breakfast and sign in Complete the following survey: If you need help accessing Google docs – please see Jessica

Group Norms Norms for the day: – Positive attitudes – Active participation – No side bar conversations – Put questions on the parking lot – Others???

IEP Information General Intelligence- – Not academic – Should include things like working memory, generalization, problem solving skills, etc. Adaptive Behavior- – Must have adaptive behavior information in present levels AND have goals and objectives for adaptive behavior – This is NOT misbehavior or time on task. It is okay to include those things, but MUST have adaptive behavior also

Goals and Objectives Percentages: – Percentages in objectives should match annual goal OR – Average of percentages in objectives would be annual goal percentage

Observations During intial observations teachers were using an average of evidence based practices out of 30 Lowest was 10, highest was 27

Observations, cont. Most were NOT using structured work systems or visual schedules A few showed evidence of providing instruction across multiple domains (communication, social, core content, adaptive, etc.) On rubric: 5 were at a level1, 7 at a level 2, and 2 at a level 3 Goal is for everyone to move up 1 level and 64% to be at a level 3

Coaching In addition to training, I would LOVE to help you with direct coaching of evidence based practices, especially with structured work systems, schedules, and standards based units of study. Coaching request form – on website through Google Docs

Visual Schedules Pre-test – Please take the pretest at: Watch Module: h/story.html h/story.html Post-test Please take the post-test at:
