Our Duty to One ANOTHER  1. Don’t neglect: Widows and Orphans James 1:27  2. Don’t neglect: Brethren who are in need…All men, but especially your brethren! Gal. 6:10  3. Don’t neglect: Old people…Handicapped.. Those who have extreme difficulties..Matt.7:12  4. Don’t neglect: Your own family I Tim. 5:8-16

Opportunity:  1. Lydia.  Ability:  1. Can you do it? Do you have the ability?  Opportunity: Do you have the opportunity?  Responsibility:  O+A=R O + A = R

Some do Nothing!  Sin of Omission: Some omit doing good to others  James 4:13-17  Sin of Commission: Some commit ungodly acts  Gal.5:19-21

Helping us to a Closer walk with God...Beware of Sin:  1. First stage of temptation: Jas. 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawnaway of his own lust and enticed.  Desire + Opportunity = Temptation  2. Second stage. - Is Sin itself. James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin  Desire+Opportunity+Action=Sin

 3. Third stage. The consequences of unrepented and unforgiven sin: Death.  James 1:15..and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death  Desire+Action+No Forgiveness=Death

How to overcome Sin  Change our desires.  Rom.12:1-2  LIMIT OUR OPPORTUNITIES  Matt. 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil.  Exercise Self-control. Gal.5:22-23

Questions to Challenge us  1. Are you engaged in a daily Bible Study..which will help you develop the proper desire?  2. Do you watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation?  3. Do you avoid circumstances and companions that you know would entice you to sin?

 4. Do you pray that God will strengthen you by His spirit?  5. Do you ask God daily to forgive your sins?  6. Do you accept His forgiveness?
