Product Enhancements

PDF Converter new! The WERCS PDF Converter is a new tool that makes publishing to PDF possible without the need for Adobe Distiller, reducing costs and simplifying IT tasks. Increases efficiency in publishing PDF MSDS’ from the following WERCS modules: PowerWERCS Editor, PowerWERCS Formatter, Author, Administrator, Orders Interface and Formulation Interface.

RuleWriter Engine enhanced! The new RuleWriter is up to 37 times faster than the previous version. SQL rules will reside inside the RuleWriter application instead of external files which can be lost, forgotten, or corrupted. Transportation Wizard can now be run ‘silently’ via rules. Rule B now has an EXIT GROUP option when the condition is true. –e.g. If physical state is liquid, exit the group that calculates LC50 for solids

Do Not Un-authorize –When publishing a new revision of a document in The WERCS, prior functionality automatically unauthorized any previous versions of the document. –Now, when publishing a new revision of a document in WERCS, the user has the option to elect not to unauthorize previous versions of the document. This checkbox is available from the following screens: Current Document, Publisher, Label Publisher, and Document Queue. – Allows document history to be available. Author

Author / Do not un-authorize previous publish.

BOM New Search –The new search screen allows users to enter one or more CAS or –CAS/Comp IDs and specify a percent range in order to display an output list of products matching the entered criteria. This is highly useful when searching for hazardous chemicals and their ranges within certain products.

BOM Conglomerates –Product lines with similar compositions can now be represented by one ‘master’ formulation using the highest level concentration of every component in each product (worst case scenario formulation). With this capability, the user can generate one MSDS to represent the entire product group

PhraseWERCS Importing X-Phrases –There are two new options for importing X-phrases; user can choose to: 1. Always capitalize the first letter of the incoming spreadsheet phrase. 2. Do not remove final punctuation (.,;,:,!) Phrase Delete –The user is now able to permanently remove a phrase and its translations once it’s no longer used.

PowerWERCS Toolbar –A 'Properties' button has been added on the PowerWERCS main toolbar. –Now, all buttons are organized into four groups-- Authoring, Wizards, Product Tools and Workflow. Each toolbar contains the standard WERCS icons, however they are now more organized and user friendly. Update: organized maybe not so user friendly as originally thought. The most used icons by user can be selected and put into the tool bar. Other options will still remain as above if needed.

PowerWERCS Toolbar functionality:

PowerWERCS Security by Subsection –No Access, Full Access, or Read Only security roles can now be assigned to subsections in PowerWERCS Formatter. This subsection level security applies only to PowerWERCS. –New usage type "FREE" has been created. Text can be entered, translated, and is applied at the Alias level.

PowerWERCS Paper Size & language by Subformat –Different paper size settings and languages can now be assigned to a subformat for publishing by selecting between default or subformat-specific paper sizes. –The document will publish in the assigned paper dimensions & languages.

LOLI Browser/Loader Users can now load chemical name translations through the LOLI2005 browser. There are three options which are accessed from a button on the Loader Actions screen. The options are to: 1. Load all available translations for all chemicals in WERCS 2. Load all available translations for a given CAS 3. Load all translations for a given language.

LOLI Browser/Loader Can select whether or not to load generics by individual regulation instead of all or none. Override ownership of data.

Phrase Import/Export Eliminate Duplicates –An option to eliminate duplicate phrase output has been added on the Export screen. If selected, phrases will not appear more than once on the output spreadsheet, regardless of the text code. –This eliminates duplicate phrases on the spreadsheet to avoid multiple translations of the same phrase.

GHS Wizard Aspiration Hazard Category added Calculations reviewed by WPS, some intermediate values saved to database for expert review. User Interface reworked to be more friendly.

EU Wizard Handles additional classification for diluted formulation (in addition to standard formulation) Build print flags (can use instead of EUHAZ/EUCALL mappings) Can now suppress insertion of ‘blank’ graphics (none.wmf)

EU Wizard The Manage Substance Data screen now supports H and N notas and the processing of these notas has been added to the EU wizard. Able to separate the R43 >.1% components onto a separate contains line for allergens. Print flags results can be copied to other subformats Create secondary classification for a product that is normally mixed with water before being used. Normal classification for the concentrate and the dilution classification once it has been mixed with water (must identify dilution factor).
