Presentation transcript:

The Characters in this book are Mr. and Mrs. Hayes, their daughters Agnes and Charlotte, their son Justin Lee, and their dog Beauregard.

Charlotte Hayes is not a dog hater or a dog lover, but when her family gets Beauregard (a Saint Bernard) she winds up taking care of him all by herself. Everyday, Charlotte has to fill Beauregard’s water bowl and give him a belly rub. No one in her family cares whether Beauregard is hungry, thirsty, or cold. Charlotte just wants Beauregard to have a good home. Charlotte has many good ideas on how to get Beauregard a better home but most of them have failed. Charlotte never gives in. She is determined to get Beauregard a better home, even if it means she has to earn money. Charlotte will do anything in order to have Beauregard in a better home. Will Charlotte be able to find Beauregard a better home? Will Charlotte’s family have to keep Beauregard? To find the answers to these questions, you will have to read the book “The Dog Days of Charlotte Hayes.”
