Introduction Jewish view of the Old Testament –Carefully analyzed –Considered those ignorant of it to be cursed (John 7:49) –Yet, they failed to recognized Jesus when He came (John 3:19, 20)

Introduction Bible is God’s Word –Bears witness of the Messiah –Contains testimony about the Redeemer (Romans 3:21) –Jesus claimed to be the object of the prophecies –Confine ourselves to the Lord’s outline (Luke 24:44)

The Law They trusted in Moses and his writings –Needed to believe Moses (John 5:45-47) –Irony: They rejected the prophecies made by Moses

The Law The seed of woman –Came from Moses writing (Genesis 3:15) –Fulfilled in Christ (Galatians 3:16) –From above (John 8:23, 31-36) –Bruised Satan’s head (John 12:23, 31; 14:30; 16:11) –Bound Satan (Revelation 20:1, 2; 1 John 3:8)
