 Southwark is richly served by its vibrant communities  1,222 registered charities – £2bn income 2,000+ community groups  Providing a range of support, advice & activities – from knitting to skydiving Southwark – vibrant communities

 44,762 volunteers play a vital role  Volunteers ‘work’ 5 million hours per year  If paid, volunteers would cost £47.3m  Informal to formal – supporting people 3 Volunteering is the anchor
