2 TEF Overview The Toronto Enterprise Fund was established in 2000 to support the implementation of social enterprises that provide transitional or permanent employment, or training leading to employment, for people who are marginalized.

3 TEF Overview TEF is a funding partnership between: United Way Toronto City of Toronto Ontario Ministry of Community & Social Services Homelessness Partnership Strategy, a federal program administered by the City of Toronto

5 TEF Overview Since 2000 TEF has funded 50 social enterprises that employed nearly 3,000 people who are: Living with mental illnesses or other disabilities Newcomers and refugees Youth from disadvantaged backgrounds Receiving social assistance Living in social housing Street-involved
