 Describe his entrepreneurial traits  Is the ColorCentric concept unique?  Evaluate the business model and it’s value add  What are the company’s competitive advantages?  Is the company’s marketing strategy unique? What did we learn from John’s presentation?

Case Due: Evaluating the Industry  What elements of the industry should John and Rita examine?  Is the beverage industry a good industry to launch a startup? Why or why not?  Is there a source of an opportunity for a new business here? If so what is it? If not why not?  Is this an opportunity that favors new firms? Why or why not?

Workshop  Hand in and discuss QuickScreen exercises for two ideas selecting one for further study.  Work on Exercises 1 and 2

Assignment for October 12 Case Due: Ken Green – A Decision for the Future. (hand out materials) The report should be typewritten, a maximum of two pages answering the questions and individually prepared. Ken will be present to explain why he decided to buy Great Northern Pizza Kitchen.
