July 11, 2010 | God & Science

1. Do you recall learning about evolution/Darwin’s theory at school? What do you remember about that experience? 2. God and science, evolution and intelligent design are controversial topics, why do you think that is?

3. Summarize the beliefs of evolution (starting at the big bang) in 2-3 sentences 4. Which parts of the evolutionary theory could God be included in? Which parts seem to exclude God?

5. People say that belief in God involves faith, how is faith involved in believing evolutionary theory? 6. Is it important to understand the intricacies of intelligent design or of evolution?

7. What resources do you know that you could recommend for someone really struggling with these questions? 8. Why should we focus on the ‘who’ and ‘why’ of the creation of the world rather than the ‘how’?

10. Is there anything you want to research more or learn more about from Sunday’s sermon or this discussion?
