Developing a Team This is our Arizona Team Micala – 5 yrs Chaplin Acosa – 2 yrs Peggy – 3 yrs Charmaine – 6 yrs Rose Ann – 4 yrs Dave – 5 yrs Jackie – 5 yrs Bonnie (not in pic) – 6 yrs Developing a great team always begins with you You cannot build a great team without great players You need to recruit championship-caliber people with passion Look for people who are … Flexible - adapt to changes and thrive on new challenges Teachable - are explorers and place a high priority on breaking new ground Creative – bring new ideas and foster adaptability Service Minded –strive to accomplish goals and are problem solvers Working with the team Completing one another is more important than competing with one another Teammates need to be supportive, not suspicious Remove discord immediately (24 hrs rule) Convince teammate to focus on common goal not independence Create victories through multiplication – releases and harnesses not only your skills but also those of everyone on the team Inspire a win-win attitude with your teammates Complement others – match someone who has strengths in area of weakness and vice versa. Seek out others on the team with complementary gifts and have them work together.

When interviewing for team members listen for their area of interest (they will mention it if you let them) Passion – There are no Halfhearted Champions Micaela Jean Equipment Recruiter

Warning… Team Leaders beware Continually be promoting the event Communication is key….weekly new ideas Improving yourself will add value to your team You need to model the behavior you expect from your teammates to have If you won’t change for the team, the team may change you – be flexible Get in the habit of learning new things (keep informed to bring new light to each meeting) Re-evaluate your role – can you be doing something to lighten the load for the team (you’re not just the leader… you’re a teammate too!) Overwhelmed Delegate Lack of inspiration Working Together

So you say you want to do it again next year…true success!  Success bases our worth on a comparison with others  Excellence gauges our value by measuring us against our own potential.  Success grants its rewards to the few but is the dream of the multitudes.  Excellence is available to all living beings but is accepted by…the few.
