THE MEDITERRANEAN REGION of

Mediterranean region takes its name from the Mediterranean Sea. West and Mid-Taurus mountains run parallel to the coast line. There are 8 cities in our region: Antalya, Adana, Mersin, Hatay, Isparta, Burdur, Kahramanmaras, and Osmaniye.

Agriculture, industry, tourism and carpet weaving are the basic professions in our region. 80% of Turkey's oranges and mandarins are grown here, bananas are only grown in the Mediterranean Region in Turkey.
