Grading Official Progress Reports sent home with student. Parent signature required. Report Cards sent home in the mail. Points are based on:  Completion of assignments (class work, homework)  Projects, quizzes, and tests. Grades are posted online (ESPRI) and updated every week. 6 th Grade Glencoe Social Studies Curriculum Ancient Civilizations  Mesopotamia, Egypt, Israel, China, India, Mesoamerica, Greece, and Rome.  Directed reading, note taking, and discussion of each chapter in class. Assessment  Weekly sectional quizzes.  Study guide/ Chapter Tests.  Essay/ Application Test  Graphic organizer tool, collaborate and review essays, and rubric given to assist them in studying.  Projects assigned for each chapter.
