The Vietnam war In 1965 the USA and their Allied Forces joined into a war with the Republic of Vietnam ( South Vietnam ) against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam ( North Vietnam ). Today it´s called a Cold War escalation because the two superpowers, America and Russia, found a way to fight against each other without a direct war status. The next pictures will show some popular snapshots of this war.

The result of 10 years war Vietnamese soldiers dead: 1,330,000Vietnamese soldiers dead: 1,330,000 Vietnamese soldiers wounded: 900,000Vietnamese soldiers wounded: 900,000 US dead: 58,191US dead: 58,191 US wounded: 153,303US wounded: 153,303 Australian dead: 500Australian dead: 500 South Korea dead: 5,000South Korea dead: 5,000 South Korea wounded: 11,000South Korea wounded: 11,000 Civilian dead (total vietnamese): c. 2–4 millionCivilian dead (total vietnamese): c. 2–4 million

About 20 years after the Vietnam war The United States of America defended Kuwait while Iraqi forces tried to invade the country. Years later after the successfull defense of Kuwait and after 9/11, US Forces attacked the Iraq again to avoid that Sadam Hussein gets weapons of mass destruction. After the „successfull“ war the US had to admit that the Iraq didn‘t had weapons of mass destruction.

The Time after the wars against the Iraq and after 9/11 While the US Forces stay in the Iraq they have nearly daily casulties on their own side. There are also many casulties around the civilian side. Until today the total body count of Iraqi Deaths is above , mostly civilians. Nobody knows exactly how much civilians died because of collateral damage. The U.S Forces reported 2500 death soldiers and more then wounded soldiers. The total war costs the United States more then 80 billion dollars.

B ut its not all negative about the U.S. There are several examples where the „American Dream“ works for people who belive in it. Also it aren‘t all American citizens that support the war in the Iraq and they also don‘t support the decissions of their Goverment.
