Major Concentration The area of concentration that I have chosen is Biology with the Zoology option. I chose this option after coming to Tennessee Tech University three years ago, you see all through high school I was going to go into Accounting you get a sensible nine to five sort of job that’s what my family wanted for me. It wasn’t until I got here that all of that changed, I found that accounting was boring and uneventful, even though I was good at it. I sat down and decided to make a list of everything that I found enjoyable and the things that I was looking for in a career choice as well as looking at my hobbies and interests to find something that I would enjoy doing. And for something that would challenge me everyday and make me want to go in and see what would happen next. After looking at my likes, dislikes, hobbies, and interests it all boiled down to one very broad topic ANIMALS. It was then that I decided to change my major to Zoology. So that how I ended up here and through the past three years of learning I found that the line of work I want to do will help secure not only the type of future I want with animals and humans thriving together but it could one day show future generations the importance of our world and maybe they will learn to love the world we live in and want to help make sure it stays beautiful.

Interest in Biology Professional Organizations/Clubs The clubs that I am considering joining are the Upper Cumberland Conservation Society and the Beta Beta Beta (Tri Beta) Biology Honor Society. I prefer these because during the presentations these seemed to incorporate more of the things that I wanted to do and they seemed to be suited for my best interests. I am interested in the UCCS because it cleans up the environment in which we live in and will keep an eye on the community for any environmental changes due to human neglect. I also chose Tri Beta for there involvement in the academic area. It seemed from there presentation that they reward the student for doing well by helping them and setting up fun but helpful activities for the Club to do as well as setting up a scholarship program.

Internships and/or Cooperatives These are a few of the Cooperatives and Internships that I have chosen
