Interior house painting should be done in such a way that it soothes the eye. Interior house painting There are a number of tips available for interior house painting. Combining colors, doing a mix and match, using patterns and other designs are some of the painting tips that can be tried.

Interior House Painting Tips

1. a)If you do not want lap marks, maintain a wet edge. b)Lap marks are stripes that are caused by uneven painting and it happens when the roller touches the paint when it is almost dry. c)For wet edge, start painting near a corner and make sure to run the roller up and down the full height of the wall. d)Reload the roller as often as possible so that it does not dry.

2. If you want consistent color, mix several cans of paint in a large bucket. Paint color in each can may vary slightly and mixing all the cans together will help to get rid of the problem.

3. If you want to have a perfect edge, then let the paint dry first and then cut the tape loose. 4. Paint the trim first, then the ceiling and the wall because it is easier to tape off the trim then the ceiling and wall.

5. To avoid a blotchy finish, use a quick coat of primer. Primer helps to seal the patch and eliminate any texture differences. 6. Before painting, clean the area with a de-glosser or heavy-duty cleaner that is used for pre-paint cleaning. Painting over dirty or oily surfaces will not form a strong bond.

7. Texture in the corner and edge may look different than the surrounding area since only a brush is used. To avoid the difference, brush on the paint, then roll it out immediately so that the paint does not dry.

8. Keep cotton drop cloths handy so that the spills can be wiped off. 9. For an ultra-smooth finish, sand the trim before applying each coat of paint.
