Main changes compared to (1) Regular annual reports significantly lighter with only the essential data on progress made Light reports – 2016, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 More comprehensive reports , 2019, final report (comparable to period) First report is to be submitted only in 2016 (covers the financial years 2014 and 2015, as well as the period between the starting date for eligibility of expenditure and 31 December 2013) The final implementation report will be submitted after the end of the programming period

Main changes compared to (2) MS can report information certain information required in the CPR in the progress report instead (to avoid duplication of reporting). Requirements to provide monitoring data (indicators, financial data, major projects, issues affecting the performance etc.), remain broadly similar; focus on data of robust quality Main changes in the content: - a focus on performance including reporting on performance framework and fulfilment of ex-ante conditionalities; - a focus on the contribution towards Union strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth; - providing a citizen's summary; - reporting on joint action plans; - certain elements reported in will no longer be required (information on complementarity with other instruments, substantial modifications).
