The Need (the problem) BIM usage by General Contractors is different than Designers. GC’s are not model Creators but model Users. GC’s manage the process(es) and risks. Current BIM Training is focused at Design. – Authoring, aggregation, file management, and database applications Current BIM Training is software focused.

The Solution Provide a means to recognize the unique need of General Contractors. Provide a program to instruct in the integration and use of BIM tools to fulfill the General Contractor’s need: – Process improvement – Tools Training, instruction and support

What is it? (the program) Interactive training for use of BIM tools to improve the building delivery process. Not just technical how-to use the software.
