CFD- Community Facility District What does that mean?

Who attends Orchard Hills? (CURRENT)  Any students, grades 5-8 th in the Orchard Hills Apartments  Any students, grades 5 th -8 th who live in the new Orchard Hills development  Hicks Canyon 5 th -8 th grade students  Myford 5 th -8 th grade students, north of Champion Way  Transfers through the established TUSD permit process

Future Orchard Hills Attendance Guaranteed Attendance:  Orchard Hills Apartments  New Orchard Hills Development (CFD) Dependent on Space Available:  Myford 5 th -8 th graders  Hicks Canyon 5 th- 8 th graders

It will be a long time, if ever, before space is unavailable at Orchard Hills.

Will students be moved mid-year from Orchard Hills?

Will Students be Grandfathered into Orchard Hills? If an entering student has a current sibling at the school, then they will be given priority for transfers. Not a guarantee, but priority will be given. If an entering student has a current sibling at the school, then they will be given priority for transfers. Not a guarantee, but priority will be given. If a student is exiting Orchard Hills into 9 th grade, and a 5 th grade sibling is entering, priority will not be given. Which grades will be added first to Orchard Hills? It is dependent on student enrollment.

Are there plans to build a new middle school? A middle school may be built on the Legacy base.

Will North Park and North Park Square be split? Decisions about changing attendance areas have not been made. It will be based on space available.

Fundraising Due to the fact that the students will stay at the same school once starting, this will not be an issue.

Will a sidewalk be built for the homes on the ridge? We are trying to work with the city to address this need. However, if we are unsuccessful, then TUSD will make adjustments as necessary.
