Euthanasia is an act or omission which of itself and by intention causes death with the purpose of eliminating all suffering

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;” Ecclesiastes 7:17 This means that God has chosen a time of death for us and human does not have the power to choose when a life should end So life is like a garden in the sense that God Is a Gardner and plants life in each one of us so it is his choice of when to pluck us into heaven

Whatever its motives and means, direct euthanasia consists in putting an end to the lives of handicapped, sick, or dying persons. It is morally unacceptable. Thus an act or omission which, of itself or by intention, causes death in order to eliminate suffering constitutes a murder gravely contrary to the dignity of the human person and to the respect due to the living God, his Creator. The error of judgment into which one can fall in good faith does not change the nature of this murderous act, which must always be forbidden and excluded. (CC #2277)

Intentional euthanasia, whatever its forms or motives, is murder. It is gravely contrary to the dignity of the human person and to the respect due to the living God, his Creator. (CC #2324) In conclusion the Catechism is explicitly clear that Euthanasia is a sin that contradicts God’s plan for human life

Euthanasia will lead us to feel like we have sole control over life and death Disconnects us from God Only condoned because we view suffering as evil (Catholic Social Teaching, Michael Pennock, pg 87)

1. No one can make an attempt on the life of an innocent person without opposing God's love for that person, without violating a fundamental right, and therefore without committing a crime of the utmost gravity.[4] - Declaration on Euthanasia

Man does not have the power to play God and take the human life of another even in Euthanasia it is murder and destroys the dignity of human life. Life is like a flower. It can die and wilt at any time, but with a little tender love and care, it will bloom for what seems like forever. -Elizabeth Sanders
