These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

“…my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (v. 4) “…your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (v. 5) “…not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches…” (v. 13) “…my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (v. 4) “…your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (v. 5) “…not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches…” (v. 13)

Unconditional Election: Definition “The doctrine of election declares that God, before the foundation of the world, chose certain individuals from among the fallen members of Adam’s race to be the objects of His undeserved favor. These and these only, He purposed to save. God could have chosen to save all men (for He had the power and authority to do so) or He could have chosen to save none (for He was under no obligation to show mercy to any) – But He did neither. Instead He chose to save some and to exclude others. His eternal choice of particular sinners unto salvation was not based upon any unforeseen act or response on the part of those selected, but was solely based upon His own good pleasure and sovereign will. Thus election was not determined by, or conditioned upon, anything that men would do, but resulted entirely from God’s self-determined purpose.” - The Five Points of Calvinism, by Steele & Thomas, Presbyterian and Reformed Publishing Co. p. 30

Unconditional Election: Definition “Those who were not chosen to salvation were passed by and left to their own evil devices and choices. It is not within the creature’s jurisdiction to call into question the justice of the Creator for not choosing everyone to salvation. It is enough to know that the Judge of the Earth has done right. It should, however, be kept in mind that if God had not graciously CHOSEN a people for Himself and soverelignly determined to PROVIDE salvation for them and APPLY it to them, none would be saved. The fact that He did this for some, to the exclusion of others, is in no way unfair to the latter group, unless of course one maintains that God was under obligation to provide salvation for sinners – a position which the Bible utterly rejects.” - - The Five Points of Calvinism, by Steele & Thomas, Presbyterian and Reformed Publishing Co. p. 31

(Romans 2:11) For there is no partiality with God. (NKJV) Objections to Unconditional Election:

(Colossians 3:25) But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality. (NKJV) Objections to Unconditional Election:

(Ephesians 6:9) And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him. (NKJV) Objections to Unconditional Election:

(Ezekiel 33:11) "Say to them: 'As I live,' says the Lord GOD, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?' (NKJV) Objections to Unconditional Election:

(Ezekiel 18:32) "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!" (NKJV) Objections to Unconditional Election:

(Ezekiel 18:21-23) "But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. "None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. "Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?" says the Lord GOD, "and not that he should turn from his ways and live? (NKJV) Objections to Unconditional Election:

(Ezekiel 18:26-30) "When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies. "Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. "Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. "Yet the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not fair.' O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair? "Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways," says the Lord GOD. "Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. (NKJV) Objections to Unconditional Election:
