We conducted a survey on this topic.

1. newspaper  newspaper: since 1400  first daily newspaper: 1650  Proper mass media later, because of the improvement of printing machine in 1845 (Gutenbergs invention 1442)  peak in the first half of the 20.century  70% of all people read the daily newspaper in Germany

The results of our survey Newspapers have always been a very important kind of media, even in the childhood of our grand- parents. Every day we get news and information from all over the world.

2. The results of our survey The first audio broadcasting was about Our grandparents: In their childhood they listened to the radio every day. The German name for the channel was ”Volksempfänger”, which was a kind of inexpensive radio set produced under the Nazis in Germany. There were news, the air raid warnings and quiz shows. Our parents: In their childhoot they listened to news, music, sport events and other kinds of entertainment as they do today. Present time: The radio hasn‘t changed much since the childhood of our parents.

The results of our survey TV was presented about Grandparents: Only very few people had enough money to buy a TV, so they met at a place where somebody had one to watch TV together. There were news and some entertainment series. The present time: TV has become very popular until now.
