2 There are PTAC’s in every state, comprising over 300 local offices, and forming a nationwide network of procurement professionals to help businesses compete successfully in the government marketplace. PTAC’s are the bridge between the buyer and supplier. We assist companies compete for all levels of government contracts - Federal, State and Local, including Schools & Universities. In 1985, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) initiated The Procurement Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program in order to increase competition for small businesses to sell products and services to the Department of Defense (DoD).
