I.Definition
What is a game? “a pursuit or activity with rules performed either alone or with others, for the purpose of entertainment.”
II.Origin
O.E. gamen “joy, fun, amusement,” regarded as identical with Goth. Gaman “participation, communion,” from P. Gmc. *ga – collective prefix + *mann “person,” giving a sense of “people together.” Where does the word “game” come from?
