RESOURCES Equivalences and recognitions Educational system 1. Europass: Information about education and training in Europe, about studies and work placement, and about recognitions. -and-you/pupils-students

2. ENIC NARIC Network The ENIC network provides information on: - the recognition of foreign diplomas, degrees and other qualifications; - education systems in both foreign countries and the ENIC’s own country; - opportunities for studying abroad, including information on loans and scholarships, as well as advice on practical questions related to mobility and equivalence. The NARIC network aims at: - improving academic recognition of diplomas and periods of study in the Member States of the European Union (EU) countries, the European Economic Area (EEA) countries and Turkey. The network is part of the Community's Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), which stimulates the mobility of students and staff between higher education institutions in these countries.

3. Eurydice: The Eurydice Network provides information on and analyses of European education systems and policies. It consists of 40 national units based in all 36 countries participating in the EU's Lifelong Learning programme (EU Member States, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland).

Refernet: It offers: -comparable information on Vocational Education and Training across Europe. - a decentralised information exchange, based on national consortia in participating countries. - Network activities are focused on documentation and information exchange on developments in VET policy and research across the European Union. - Refernet acts as a VET portal between the UK and other countries, and answers requests for information.

5. Study in Europe It helps students make informed decisions about their studies in Europe with a free database. They can stay organized and compare all accredited programs by tuition fees, language, financial assistance, place and institution.

6. Erasmus + (European Comission – Education & Training) - Erasmus +: information about the new EU programme for education, training, youth and sport, - EU’s role: information about education and training, higher education policy, school policy, adult learning, vocational education and training, and international cooperation and policy dialogue. - Tools, portals and partners: tools for mobility, tools for quality, portals and databases.

7. PROMOTE Guide -Published by Universitat Jaume I (Castelló) -Addressed to the youth doing international work placement using the English language in any country. It aims to: - Gather systematically all the information given during the cultural and language training, and the professional guidance of the international mobility programs. - Provide relevant and handy information in English about the country, socio-cultural aspects, mobility programs, linguistic immersion and intercultural sensitivity, work placement tools and multimedia. - Establish synergy with other programs. -Compile and create new context in English about the Universitat Jaume I.

ESOL courses (English for Students of Other Languages)  some of them subsidized by the British Government if we come from a country in the European Union.

Austria Österreicher Integrations Fond Information about Integrationszentrum in Austria near where we live. These centres offer language courses (German) and modules related to the Austrian culture.

If you are a EU citizen, you do not need to attend this kind of courses but you can do it if you wish it. In this case you must pay 1,20 Euros for every lesson of the course. A general integration course consists of 660 hours, that is to say, you should pay 792 Euros.

France Office Français de l’immigration et l’integration This office offers the possibility of attending French classes for free. Be aware that, if you want to live for a long time in France, you must sign the so called Contrat d’accueil et d’intégration (CAI). In this case, you are offered to attend French classes in order to show you want to be integrated in the French society.

USA Literacy Directory, depending on the Federal Government in USA America's Literacy Directory (ALD) is a web site that allows users to find local literacy providers in all 50 states and the U.S. territories. The ALD includes literacy programs for adults looking for adult basic education, adult secondary education, computer literacy and English as a Second Language.

Australia Adult English Migrant Program (AMEP) english/amep/ The Adult Migrant English Language Program (AMEP) provides up to 510 hours of free English language tuition to eligible migrants from the skilled, family and humanitarian visa streams, to help them learn basic English to assist with their settlement in Australia.
