First-Year Engineering Program Advanced Energy Vehicle Performance Test 4: Final Test

First-Year Engineering Program Final Test  Each Team will have two runs on the final test day  Each team will have two 2.5-minute windows in order to complete each test  Scoring is based on completing the operational objectives as stated in the MCR  Score is based on:  Distance (did the AEV make it to all the locations and take the caboose back to the start?)  Time (did the AEV finish under 2.5 minutes?)  Energy/mass ratio (was it the lowest the team can make it? How is it compared to other teams?)  Team demonstrated safe track procedures

First-Year Engineering Program Mission Concept Review Track Layout Front on Classroom

First-Year Engineering Program Oral Presentation  Presentations are given in Lab 13C  6 – 8 minutes long (with 2 minutes for questions)  PowerPoint must be given to instructor PRIOR to class!  Class will be broken up into four sections/quadrants to give the presentation to either your UTA(s), GTA(s), or Instructor  Super Group 1 = Teams A, B, E, and F  Super Group 2 = Teams C, D, G, H, and I  Super Group 3 = Teams J, K, O, and P  Super Group 4 = Teams L, M, N, Q, and R

First-Year Engineering Program Television Super Group 1 Super Group 2 Super Group 3 Super Group 4

First-Year Engineering Program Poster and Final Documentation  Everything is due in Lab 13C** (see note below)  Oral Presentation Oral Presentation  Poster Poster  Use the template on EEIC course webpage  Look at the example on Technical Communications Guide  Look at the examples on 2 nd and 3 rd floors of Hitchcock  Project Notebook Project Notebook  See the Grading Guidelines  Includes ALL documents from the entire semester  CDR CDR  Summary of the entire semester in report format

First-Year Engineering Program Showcase  FE – Scholars FE – Scholars  April 18 (Friday)  From 6 – 8:30 pm  All students are required to attend  Students should be at LARH working on competition (work session)  Location: Lane Avenue Residence Hall Ballrooms  FE – General (This is NOT REQUIRED) FE – General  April 21 (Monday)  From 10am – 4pm  Only two teams PER class are chosen  Location: Physics Research Building (PRB)
