W HY D ECENT W ORK FOR E VERYONE ? 80 million people across Europe with Disability Rate of poverty 70% higher than rest of Society due to limited access to employment market Potential of further exclusion in current economic crisis. People with Disability are 3 times more likely to be unemployed

W HY D ECENT W ORK FOR E VERYONE – P OLICY C ONTEXT European Disability Strategy: Full economic and social participation Full implementation of Employment Discrimination 9 (Directive 2000/78/EC) UN Convention Article 27 People with Disability have the right to work including the right to work in an environment that is open, inclusive and accessible. Countries must take appropriate steps to promote employment opportunities and career advancement for people with disability
