{ FBLA Competitive Events Spring 2013

 To prepare students for successful careers in business, these events assess students in the various knowledge, skills, and abilities that make up today’s business education curriculum. Why do we compete?

 The program allows members to demonstrate and validate their mastery of essential business concepts, skills, and knowledge. In addition, members participating in this program will:  demonstrate their career competencies, business knowledge, and job-related skills  expand their leadership skills  demonstrate their competitive spirit  receive recognition for their achievements  encourage community service

 Each participant may compete in one chapter event as well as one individual or team event.  Dress Code. Members must adhere to the dress code established by the board of directors in order to participate in a competitive event at the NLC. The dress code is also included in each conference guide.  Members must be registered for the conference (following current registration guidelines) in order to participate in a competitive event.
