Build a detailed portfolio of their skills, experiences and accomplishments to show employers, graduate schools, and others. The Career Portfolio is a web-based, interactive tool that lets students: Discover opportunities available on and off campus that allow them to develop these skills. Include an online resume, references, transcripts and even samples of their work. Learn about skills that employers value.

This is a student’s Career Portfolio…

…which includes their resume and references…

…transcripts and skills…

…as well as samples of work for employers, graduate schools and other referred users to view (with the student’s permission).

Students can document the experiences they have developed through: Interests/Life Experiences Courses Jobs/Internships Service/Volunteer Work Memberships/Activities

Students can describe the skills they have gained in the following areas: These are valuable skills for any career. Creativity Teamwork Communication Technical/Scientific Critical Thinking Leadership Life Management Research/Project Development Social Responsibility

Students can discover opportunities available on and off campus to develop these skills.

A student’s main menu is where they can build and manage their Career Portfolio.

From the main menu, students can: Enter skills and experiences Add a resume, work samples, and references View and customize their portfolio Add additional portfolios Send their portfolio via And much, much more!

Tours within the Career Portfolio guide students in planning and building their portfolio.

Examples throughout the Portfolio show how different students have described their skills and experiences.

The Career Portfolio is closely connected to the FSU Career Center, where students can receive assistance from workshops, events and career advisors.

The Career Portfolio gives FSU students an edge in meeting their future career goals.
