What is a continent? What is an ocean?

Continent One of the main landmasses of the globe The mainland, as distinguished from islands or peninsulas. A continuous tract or extent, as of land.

Ocean The vast body of salt water that covers almost three fourths of the earth's surface. The continuous body of salt water that covers 72 percent of the Earth's surface.
