How can I avoid Bad Carbs? a. Avoid sugar, sucrose, corn syrup, high-fructose corn syrup! b. Avoid white or wheat flour c. Added sugar products (soda, cookies, cake, candy, frozen desserts, and some fruit drinks) d. A high-sugar diet is often linked with obesity Reading Labels?

What Can We Do?  Avoid cooking oils high in saturated fats and trans fats,  Minimize use of packaged foods high in trans fats – read labels!  Use real butter instead of margarine  Use skim milk or low fat milk instead of whole milk  Add Omega 3 into our diets
