School Accreditation What is school accreditation? Why accreditation ? How do we achieve it?

What ? Accreditation is a process of establishing competence of a school in delivering the requisite elements of education & it’s ability to carry out evaluation to make professional Judgment In practice it is awarded by QCI-NABET after carrying out structured assessment of compliance to the (requirements of ) accreditation standard namely “Accreditation Standard for Quality School Governance Sept 2008” published by NABET ie National Accreditation Board for Education & Training .

QUALITY CONCLAVE Feb.2007 Quality Conclave of India was addressed by then President of India who stressed upon importance of quality in education for building quality of India’s human resource & asked QCI to come up with an accreditation mechanism for schools. Thus the standard evolved
