1 ISO 9001 : 2000 Scope 1.1 General This international standard specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organisation a)Needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements

2 ISO 9001 : 2000 Scope 1.1 General And b)Aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements

3 ACCREDITATION Recognition by an authorised body, that the body or person is competent.

4 ISO 9001 : 2000 Accreditation. - ISO/IEC Guide 62 CRB is competent to assess and certify an organisations QMS as compliant with ISO 9001:2000. where certification means : a.organisation can consistently provide product etc. b.QMS is effectively implemented and provides assurance of conformity to customer requirements

5 ISO 9001 : 2000 IAF Guidance Introduction Behind this guidance – quality management systems certified/registered to ISO 9001 – should give confidence that the organisation is capable of systematically meeting agreed requirements for any product or service supplied within the field specified

6 ISO 9001 : 2000 IAF Guidance Introduction continued Certification/registration bodies shall demonstrate that the certificates/registrations they issue satisfy this principle.

8 ISO 14001 : 1996 G 4.1.6 The CRB confirms that a system capable of achieving the required compliance is fully implemented. EMS Certification.

9 ACCREDITATION Carry out good audits leading to meaningful certification. Quality of audits they carry out is what is important. OR THE CERTIFICATE AWARDED IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE TEAM THAT DID THE AUDIT.
