SECTIONS & COUNCILS Residents can join select sections/councils based on specialty, areas of interest, or stage in life or career: Online list: Cost per section/council membership of $10-15 Automatic FREE membership in Section on Medical Students, Residents and Fellowship Trainees (SOMSRFT) SOMSRFT has liaisons to over 20 sections and councils Any resident member can apply for a 2-year liaison term Responsibilities include participating in conference calls, attending meetings, and writing up semi-annual reports Application deadline is November 1 st Applications can be found online in July
