In Croatia one school period lasts for 45 minutes. One week we go to school in the morning (from 8 a.m.) and another week we go to school in the afternoon (from 2 p.m.). Every day two pupils sit in the school hall and keep an eye on everything that’s going on in school.

School breaks There are 4 short (5 minute) breaks and 2 big ones.(10 minute) During the first long break, which is after the second period, breakfast is served for younger studens while the older ones have breakfast during the second long break. They all eat in the school canteen.

“Life” in school During the breaks we usually talk about tests, teachers, oral examinations… Younger children play or talk. During the weekends we sometimes come to school and play football on the school playground.

KBG KBG is our school magazine. It covers everything that happens in our school: sports, competitions, additional activities, school talent shows, new teachers, festivals, school shows… It is written by pupils of our school. It is done at the end of the school year. We also have our school Internet page: It is also made by our pupils.

The fundraising campaign of waste paper It is tradition in our school! We are 10 years in a row the first school in Osijek. Every year we collect more than 100 tons of waste paper. Last year we were the best school in Croatia! We always get prizes! We hope that we will be a winner in this school year too.

Sport in our school We are usually among the first in gymnastics and volleyball. This year we hope to be first in football, too! Except for football and volleyball, we are also good at basketball, karate and bowling. Our school has many talented pupils in all types of sports.

This is our school! We hope you enjoyed reading about it! Greetings from Osijek, Croatia!
