 A utopia is a seemingly perfect world where everything is the same.  The people in the society cannot have any knowledge of the outside world.  Schedules for the people are usually very similar almost everyday

In this utopian society Millennial Laws dictate how the Shakers had to live. In a Shaker community couples couldn’t practice Shaker life together. They believed in Celibacy. Girls went to school in summer, while boys went to school in the summer. Many people were craftsmen. They also believed in spiritualistic healing.

Their basic rules are to live peacefully, cooperatively, and with humility and dignity. Kids stayed with parents until 2, and then went to Kinderschule. Celibacy existed in the colony. Women cooked and gardened, while men were butchers and tailors. They had a Board of Trustees and the Council of Elders.(The Council of Elders is the highest.) If you were to get sick, family cared for you.

Historic Harmony German Lutheran Separatists and Mennonites were the main type of people that lived in Harmony. They were a farming community that planted orchards, vineyards, grain & raised merino sheep. They were a farming community that planted orchards, vineyards, grain & raised merino sheep. Each family owned a house on a quarter acre lot. Brick church dominated the village square.

A reasonable amount of freedom is given to citizens. Freedoms can be lost if any serious or continuous felonies are committed. Everybody is welcome to join “Perficio universitas.”

Our religion talks about how men and women are suppose to be treated equally because of how god sees them. All kids have to go to school at age six. School would be super fun and everyone would enjoy it. Younger kids would have a huge playground. Older kids would have a courtyard where they could relax before going to class. After high school all kids are assigned jobs that would fit them.

If our society started to have problems, we would have a group of society counselors to fix things. Festivals would be held every month dealing with favorite holidays, or seasons. A festival has to be held at least once every month.

All homes must have 4 bedrooms minimum. All houses must be built of brick or stone. All houses must have high ceilings.

Citizens may ride bikes for transportation. If citizens have cars they must be solar- powered. Citizens can also have electric powered cars.

People can leave to the community if they choose. They can also return to the community if they choose to do so.

As you can see, different utopian societies function in many different ways. They are created to give people the best life possible. Researching utopias has helped us see what they are, how they function, and how they can impact our society!

The End!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
