AUF in the World One of the most important university associations in the World 786 higher education members (universities and research centers) 70 offices in 98 countries, 10 regional offices For Asia-Pacific, regional office in Hanoi (since 1993) Mission : Contribute to... Solidarity between higher education institutions using French language The development of a scientific community respectful of cultural and language diversity. For the period, AUF main focus : Promote international training programs Support research projects and teams networking Encourage and assist institutions in modernization of university governance

II. Recent development and strategy in Asia-Pacific AUF presence in Asia-Pacific 1 regional office for 20 years in Hanoi 2 institutes : Tropical medecine and Computer sciences 4 local offices 9 digital centers 73 member universities 108 employees

1. Four key topics since 2011 Social sciences and Humanities Health Sciences for engineers French language 2. New services offered 3. Geographic expansion since 2010 New members in China, Japan, Korea, India,... New countries recently invited (Indonesia, Malaysia...) II. Recent development and strategy in Asia-Pacific

International training programs 84 international bilingual, trilingual or French speaking training programs in Vietnam (65), Laos (7), Cambodia (11) et China (1) in many fields : law, economics, tourism, medecine, pharmacology, agronomy, computer science, physics, civil engineering, renewable energies, etc. Two main levels : bachelor and master degrees

Facts More and more students involved (4 200 students in year 2000 => in 2012) Students trained at a higher level (master degree) International diplomas granted High quality programs, internationaly recognized => very attractive for students More job opportunities and more interesting opportunities for bi and trilingual students III.
