Where else can you find magnets? A magnet is a thing that attracts things containing iron (Rauta) The area of magnetic energy around a magnet is called a magnet field. The stronger a magnet the further its magnetic field reaches If we sprinkle some iron filings on a magnet (which is under some paper) we can see a magnetic field I always think the shape looks like a burger YUM, YUM! A magnetic field looks like this:

Just like the North and South pole, magnets too have North and South poles On a magnet if the two poles attract each other, it is a North and South pole. If they repel then two of the same poles are facing each other!

A compass needle is a tiny magnet. That is why it points North and South. You can make a type of compass Just by hanging a bar magnet from a string!

What is a magnetic field? What do we call the two ends of a magnet? What substances does a magnet attract? Name the two poles on a magnet? Name somewhere a magnet is used at home or in school
