3 Digit Subtraction  When there is a 3 digit number, the number has a hundreds place, tens place, and ones place Hundreds Tens Ones

3 Digit Subtraction Terms  Minuend: the starting number  Subtrahend: the number being subtracted  Difference: the ending number or answer Minuend Subtrahend Difference

3 Digit Subtraction Instructions  Start with the last number (ones place) of each 3 digit number and find the difference.  Work your way to the left following the same instructions.  If there is not enough to subtract from, take from the number to the left and add it to the number.
