3/4/14Class Notes – renting an apartment lease: contract signed between renter & landlord; legally binding 1-year, 6-month, month-to-month… tenant: person living in rented apartment or house landlord: person who owns the apartment or house security deposit: money given to landlord before moving in Covers costs of potential damages, unpaid rent, etc. Landlord gives money back when you move out

How safe are you? Are there parks & playgrounds? 3.Location of apartment What floor? Corner apartment?
