Louis Braille Louis Braille was the inventor of Braille, a way to let blind people read by using small round bumps on paper.

About Braille Louis Braille was born in He was born in France in a town called Coupvray, located east of Paris. He had 3 elder siblings.

As a Kid As soon as Braille could walk he was mostly playing in his Dads work shop. At the age of three Louis Braille became blind after an accident in his fathers workshop, while using his fathers tools.

Louis’ Way When Louis was 10 he went to the National Institute for Blind Children. When he was only 15 he had created his first dot alphabet. Eight years later he had added symbols for music and math.

Braille After two centuries Braille still remains something blind people use to learn and communicate For example, the letter A is one big dot and five small dots The letter B is two big dots on the side and four small dots

Louis Passes Away Louis died in 1852 in France. If it wasn’t for Louis Braille and his invention blind people could not have a good education because they wouldn't be able to read.
