The Bengal tiger, panthera Tigris is a large, striped cat from India and some range through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Myanmar. Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Burma. It lives in a variety of habitats, including rainforests and dense grasslands. Their estimated population is approximately 3,250-4,700 tigers, with roughly 333 in captivity, mostly in zoo India. EXIT
There are only approximately 5,000 to 7,400 tiger left in the wild. The tiger is a good swimmer, but a very poor climber. EXIT
The male Bengal tiger can get up to ten feet long, from the end of it’s tail to it’s head, with a shoulder width of up to 3 feet, and can weigh up to 575 pounds. EXIT
Tigers are carnivores. They primarily eat animals like wild boars, monkeys, buffalo, wild oxen, and chital. Bengal tigers are nocturnal. EXIT
