Appearance!!! The Bengal Tiger is one of the largest cats in the world. The males may reach lengths of 3 meters from head to tail, and weigh around 227.3 kg in the wild. The females are usually smaller, averaging around 2- 2 1/2 meters long and weigh approximately 136.4 kg.

Habitat!!! They live in the tropical jungle, brush, marsh lands, and tall grasslands. They are found in these countries -Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Burma

Lifestyle!!! Tigers, like all cats except for lions, like to live by them selves. In their territory, other tigers are usually not allowed. Tigers mark their territory through a number of ways. Tigers will often scratch their scent into trees. Another way for the to mark their territory is to urinate on the trees throughout the territory. Tigers usually live around 23 years in captivity and around 18 years in the wild.

Food Tigers mainly hunt by stalking at night. Tigers mainly prey on large mammals of the area, including wild boar and deer wild pig, wild cattle and several species of deer. They also eat small animals like frogs and monkeys.

Threats The major threats to the Bengal tiger are poaching and habitat destruction. They are hunted for their teeth, nails and skin and even killed for their other parts used in East Asian medicines. Urbanization and revenge killing has also contributed to the falling population of the animal.

How are we saving them The wild life protection society of India helps tigers They try to keep the bengal tiger in their natural habitat. It also has a breeding program to help the tigers future..

Why should we save the bengal tiger I think we should save the bengal tiger because if we don’t we won’t be able to see one again.
