 What is the traditional Qatari clothing?  What Do They Wear Now?  Before and After  Can You Guess?

For Men: The traditional clothing for men in Qatar, is the casual thobe. The thobe is not only worn in Qatar, but in almost all GCC countries. But, these countries have of wearing the thobe.

For Women: Women in Qatar wear the tradition and cultural abaya. They usually wear this when they are going out in public places such as malls. The Abaya is a very modest and Islamic article of clothing.

The thobe is still very popular in Qatar. You will find Qataris wearing it anywhere in Qatar. However, the youth of today have started to wear western clothing. A polo shirt and regular jeans are a popular choice.

The Abaya is still the most popular clothing for Qatari women in public. Girls can wear a Hijab according to the family’s choice. Qatari women would rather stay without the Abaya in the privacy of their own homes.

No doubt, western clothing has impacted not only Qatar, but many other Arab countries. But also, Qataris are very traditional, and this trend of Thobe and Abaya, will be here for a long time.
