Interesting Facts It was lifted above sea level and flexed into a mountain range surmounted by a chain of volcanoes much like today’s cascade range. The Merced River meanders through a wide trough whose slopes supported hardwood forests. The raging Merced cut its canyon as much as 3,000 feet deep.

How It Was Formed? It was formed by silt. Also,it was formed by mud. It also had marine organisms.

Facts The last valley glacier had melted. During the Tioga glaciation Yosemite Glacier a smaller ice sheet, advanced into the valley. As thin as it was, it had little erosive power to enlarge the Valley further also it has a waterfall.

Animals Fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. You might see an acorn wood pecker,California ground squirrel. Bobcats live in the lush habitat of the park’s coniferous forest.

Thanks For Watching!
