WIS will provide three fundamental types of services Routine collection and dissemination service for time-critical and operation-critical data and products Data Discovery, Access and Retrieval service Timely delivery service for data and products

From RTH to DCPC DCPCs will provide basic WIS functions: Metadata catalogues Internet portals Data access management Synchronization of metadata with GISC

Future plans Upgrade of our RMDCN connection WIS portal at DCPC-Sofia Flexible system for metadata management that can be used by countries of our zone of responsibility Integration of data access management system with WIS portal to provide timely delivery service

Summary WIS implementation in DCPC-Sofia is one of the our most important activities. With help from WMO and GISC-DWD we learned what needs to be done and then technical part was relatively easy to be implemented.
