Learning Target: Given questions, the learner will be able to distinguish the difference between a continent, mountain, river, lake, and ocean with 100% accuracy. Content Standard: 1.20 Distinguish the difference between a continent, mountain, river, lake, and ocean.

Continents A continent is a main landmass on the globe. We have 7 continents! Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Australia, and Antarctica are the continents.

Mountain A mountain is a natural upward projection of the earth's surface. A mountain is higher and steeper than a hill. A mountain often has a rocky summit

Bodies of Water River- A large natural stream of fresh water flowing along a definite course, usually into the sea. Lake- A body of fresh or salt water of considerable size, surrounded by land. Ocean-A vast body of salt water that covers almost three fourths of the earth's surface.
