Introducing May’s WoW Badge Farmer When will you be walking to earn your badge?

5 facts about FARMING! Most farmers have to set their alarm clocks early to be up before sunrise so they can tend to their animals and crops Friesian cows (the black and white ones!) can produce up to 20 litres of milk each time they are milked, an average of 80 bottles of milk each day! Sunday 7 June is Open Farm Sunday when farms welcome visitors Did you know that around three quarters of land in Britain is used for farming? That’s about the same as 30 million football pitches! Most of the food we eat started life on a farm. Without farmers to milk the cows, there would be no butter or cheese and without wheat, we would not be able to mill flour to make bread!
